General School Information / Leave of Absence Form / Nursery Information / Nursery Application Form
Riverview is a one-form entry church primary school with a two form entry mainstream nursery with links to our Sure Start Children’s Centre. Our school welcomes children from three to eleven years.
The school was opened in April 1952 as an infant/junior school and in September 2002 became a Voluntary Aided Church of England Primary School.
The school building comprises a large hall/gymnasium/dining area, eight classrooms, and areas for children to learn in small groups. Seven classrooms are in the main building and one in the garden.
Our outside areas are vast and are used to enhance the curriculum. Outside there is a very large playing field, attractive gardens with a playground to the front and a large playground to the rear of the buildings. We have an environmental area including a large pond. There is also a grassed “quiet area” with picnic tables.
Riverview Nursery has 48 places for children from the age of 3 years old. There are a range of options that parents can take up:
Morning sessions 8.45 - 11.45 am
Afternoon sessions 12.10 - 3.10 pm
21/2 days at the beginning of the week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday morning)
21/2 days at the end of the week (Wednesday afternoon, Thursday, Friday)
Our Nursery has its own garden as well as access to the school grounds.
Visits to our Nursery are welcomed. If you would like to apply for a Nursery place please fill in the application form below.
