CHURCH
Riverview CofE Primary and Nursery School is linked to Ruxley Church within the Parish of St Francis Ewell, part of the Guildford Diocese. It is situated on Ruxley Lane and is within walking distance from the school.
Ruxley Church has been a Church of England and Methodist Local Ecumenical Partnership (LEP) since 2002, and as such is also part of the Wimbledon Circuit of the London Methodist District.
Shared services are held at the church to celebrate some of the festivals within the Christian calendar. Ruxley Church is also used as a study source during our RE lessons where we consider what the role of the church is within the community.

Message from Rev Emma (Methodist Minister) and the Leadership Team:
Hello, I’m Rev Emma and have been at Ruxley since 2016. At the moment we don’t have a Vicar, since we are waiting to find a new one.
All the church members love to welcome Riverview for your Harvest, Christmas and Easter services as the whole school comes together; we enjoy your visits to the Tuesday Friendship Club and particularly like to see and hear the school choir.
We also enjoy participating in the Prayer Spaces at school, and having you over to learn about some of the Christian life events such as Baptism, and what goes on in church throughout the year.
We have a great interactive family service every 2nd Sunday of the month, called Together@10. For this, we have a short service, then usually come downstairs for a range of hands-on activities followed by refreshments. Our youth-work includes Fish Club and Catalyst on Sunday mornings.
Parents and carers might like to try out our Baby and Toddler group on Wednesday mornings, or Coffee Time on Thursday mornings.
Just come along. You will receive a warm welcome.

HARVEST FESTIVAL - THURSDAY 17TH OCTOBER 2024
Emeralds led a fantastic Harvest Service at Ruxley Church all about climate change, how this has an impact on food and what we can do to help. Thank you to everyone for your generous donations to the foodbank.
