About Us

HEADTEACHER'S WELCOME FROM MRS ATKINS

Welcome to Riverview.

Our vision, inspired by Jesus' words ‘I have come that they may have life – life in all its fullness.’ (John 10:10), is Everyone within our diverse community will flourish...regardless of previous experiences or starting point.

This is brought to life by living out our values of Hope, Trust, Love, Forgiveness and Respect.

Together these demonstrate that every child matters and every moment counts.

Our dedicated team take pride in knowing every child.  This is fundamental in enabling all children to learn well.  Our school values are "lived out" through everyday life in school where individuals feel respected and loved.  We take the time to get to know all our families and children individually, in order that they learn well and succeed.  Working closely with parents helps to build upon the skills and attributes that your child has already developed at home.

Learning is challenging and fun at Riverview.  Our curriculum enables all children to learn and improve key skills.  Many topics are designed around the children's interests and next steps. Challenges are part and parcel of learning at Riverview and the children often say that they enjoy being challenged.  Challenge here is also to continually raise achievement so that every child succeeds.

We aim to inspire all learners to achieve their best and have the skills for life in the 21st Century.  This happens through a variety of ways which is always changing, from the use of our extensive outdoor spaces, inviting motivational visitors to school and organising inspiring school trips which capture the children's imagination and thirst for learning.

I am proud to lead Riverview and of the difference that we make to the children and community.  We are all committed to meeting the needs of every child and living out our mission statement.

We look forward to welcoming you soon for a visit to our unique school.
