new church welcome page

Riverview is linked to Ruxley Church which is part of the Guildford Diocese.  It is situated on Ruxley Lane and is within walking distance from the school.

Shared services are held at the church to celebrate some of the festivals within the Christian calendar. Ruxley Church is also used as a study source during our RE lessons where we consider the role of church within the community.

Ruxley Church has been a Church of England and Methodist Local Ecumenical Partnership (LEP) since 2002 and now is situated in a brand new building.

Message from Rev Fiona - Vicar at Ruxley Church

Hi, I’m Rev Fiona the Vicar at Ruxley Church.

I arrived here in Jan 2021 and am really enjoying being part of the school community.

You might have seen me joining in the drumming with Golds, greeting you on Time to Talk evenings or taking part in the different festivals celebrated in Ruxley Church.

I particularly enjoy coming in for assemblies, helping us all find ways to show how we can put into our love for God by loving and caring for one another.

If you’re interested in having your child Christened, do get in touch as we have a monthly “hands on” type of church – TOGETHER@10 - with games, crafts, coffee and cake each month, ideal for the whole family.

It would be great to see you there or just pop along the vicarage (71 Ruxley Lane) for a cuppa and a chat some time.

Every blessing

Rev Fiona

We held our Harvest Festival services at Ruxley Church on Thursday.  The Harvest assembly was superbly led by Emily, Bonnie, Holly, Demi, Neda, Siddarth, Ashmitaa, Morgan, Ayush, Lillie, Kian, Tilly and TJ.  The generosity of food donations was much appreciated by Epsom Food Bank.

The Harvest Festival sheaf, below, which represents a good harvest, was made by our caterer, Fay.
